Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid

The Wilderness First Aid course is designed to provide basic conceptual and hands-on knowledge to become proficient with CPR and First Aid in remote locations. This class will include 8 hours of pre-course work to be completed online, and an 8 hour in-person skills day. During our skills day, students will have the opportunity to go out into the field and practice first aid in real life scenarios while enjoying time outdoors with our experienced providers. We highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys their time out in the backcountry with friends and family.

This course has been updated to meet and exceed the guidelines of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), Wilderness Medical Society, and Scouts of America. NOLS and S.O.L.O Wilderness First Aid have one of the highest standards for their courses, so you can get an unforgettable learning experience from IMA!

Students who have taken WFA courses in the past will appreciate the familiarity of courses offered through NOLS and S.O.L.O, all committed to providing adventurers with trusted standards for their outdoor ventures.
