Whether your job requires CPR certification or you want to know what to do when someone collapses, this class prepares you for both. Idaho Medical Academy is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center in Boise, and every class is taught by an AHA-certified instructor. You’ll get hands-on practice with CPR, AED use, choking relief, and bleeding control, so you can act quickly and with confidence when it counts. You’ll leave with an AHA eCard valid for two years.

Idaho Medical Academy’s AHA CPR/AED and First Aid class is taught in person at our Boise campus, with lecture, hands-on practice, and a skills check-off all completed within 4 hours. The class covers the emergencies a bystander is most likely to face at home, at work, or in public. You’ll get hands-on practice with CPR, AED use, choking relief, and bleeding control. The first aid topics teach you how to recognize what’s happening and what to do until help arrives.

It’s a 4-hour in-person class at our Boise campus with no pre-work, covering adults, children and infants, and it ends in a skills check-off and an AHA certification and eCard that’s valid for two years.
Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid at IMA is $65 (student workbook not included). The two other general public classes are priced separately: Pediatric CPR/AED + First Aid is $50 and Pet First Aid + CPR is $55.
Yes. Idaho Medical Academy is an AHA Training Center and Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid issues an official AHA eCard by email after the class.

Pediatric CPR/AED + First Aid is the recommended class for childcare workers, teachers and babysitters. It runs 3.5 hours and issues an AHA Pediatric CPR/AED + First Aid eCard valid for two years. Check the exact wording your licensing body requires before you book, and call IMA’s CPR Division if you’re not sure.
Yes. Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid covers adult, child and infant CPR. However, our Pediatric CPR/AED + First Aid class is recommended for those looking for infant-specific CPR and First Aid training, and those who work with children and infants on a daily or routine basis.
No. Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid requires no pre-work. Show up and the whole class happens in the room, including the hands-on practice and skills check-off.
AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid classes are held at Idaho Medical Academy’s Boise campus, located at 2323 S Vista Ave Ste 203, Boise, ID 83705, just off I-84. Group classes are available for 6 or more attendees, and can be taught at the organization’s own facility instead.
Yes, for a minimum of 6 students plus a $50 fee per group. The group fee is charged for the initial class only, and is waived if you schedule with us again. Travel is $50 within a 25-mile radius of Meridian and Overland Rd in Meridian, and a mileage fee may apply beyond that.
