Idaho Medical Academy’s CPR Division is committed to teaching you or your group the skills necessary along with the confidence needed to respond to and assist someone with a life-threatening emergency.
Our American Heart Association (AHA) and American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) courses are provided at both the basic level for the general public, which includes CPR/AED and First Aid – to the more advanced classes for Health Care Providers, such as AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
We also offer a number of other specialty lifesaving courses such as Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), Stop the Bleed and Situational Awareness. See course details under Specialty Courses.

Intended for in-facility and prehospital healthcare providers including nurses, physicians, EMT’s, and professional rescuers.
Designed for healthcare providers that need ACLS for their clinical duties. This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and others as required by their employer.
This course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.
Intended for: healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.
