1-day Phlebotomy Refresher Course

Brought to you by EMA, the Phlebotomy Refresher is a 1-day course that is specifically tailored for those individuals who need to brush up on blood drawing skills. Students will review and practice a variety of blood collection methods, using proper techniques and precautions.

Emphasis will be on safety, infection control and prevention, use of PPE, patient ID, and handling of specimens.

To enroll, applicants must have prior experience in phlebotomy or similar training.

With Idaho Medical Academy

Multiple payments are accepted. Half of the total tuition must be paid prior to the start date of the registered course. The remaining balance can be split into three additional separate payments. A 10% fee is applied to the remaining unpaid tuition balance at the start of class.

Course Requirements:

A current GED or equivalent in order to be eligible by NCCT guidelines. You must be 18 years or older or 16 with guardian permission. A current

American Heart Association BLS or CPR certification is not a requirement to graduate the course but is needed for future certification with the NCCT (where applicable). The BLS course can be taken at Idaho Medical Academy during your program for a discount. By signing up for this class, you agree to be a volunteer for your other classmates when practicing needle safety.
