AEMT Terms and Conditions

You understand that you are not registered for this Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course until you have accepted the Terms & Conditions of this AEMT course.
You are current or will be current with the following shots/vaccines/tests/waivers for clinicals
You agree that you have never been convicted of a felony and agree to allow Emergency Medicine Academy to run a criminal history background check on you at any time with or without notice. You further understand that if a felony or any other false statements pertaining to your eligibility to apply for and receive an AEMT certification issued by the State of Idaho and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) is discovered you will be discharged from the course with forfeiture of all fees paid.
Emergency Medicine Academy reserves the right to randomly drug test students at any time with or without notice during the course. A student who tests positive for drugs or alcohol during their course or a student who refuses to comply with a drug test request will be subject to immediate termination from the course with forfeiture of all fees paid.
Emergency Medicine Academy will register students aged 16 years of age with guardian approval.
Personnel seeking employment as an AEMT in the state of Idaho must hold a high school diploma or GED, be a U.S. citizen or legal resident for employment, and have no felony convictions.
It is your responsibility to determine that you have the physical, mental, emotional, and legal ability to safely participate in the program and be employed as an AEMT.
Emergency Medicine Academy does not guarantee employment for its graduates.
You agree that full payment is due by the first day of class unless other payment plans have been approved by Emergency Medicine Academy.
You understand that if you are granted any payment plan that your account must be paid in full prior to receiving a course completion certificate. You also understand that you are responsible for the total cost of the course unless you withdraw in accordance with this agreement.
You understand that if you withdraw from this EMT classroom courses, full tuition refunds will be issued if the request is submitted by email or written letter and sent to the General Manager by the close of business hours Friday of the first week of the course upon the return of all related material, withholding $150 for services which are not refundable.
A certificate of completion will be awarded after successful completion of the didactic, psychomotor, and clinical rotation
You are responsible for your own transportation to the training facilities and all clinical sites.
You understand that you will be required to complete clinical hours on an ambulance or in an emergency department.
You understand that you must hold a cumulative score of 80% at the end of the AEMT course final examination. Failure to maintain a cumulative score of 80% at the end of the course will be considered a failing grade and you will not be allowed to test for the NREMT Certification.
You will be subject to dismissal from the course for the following: failure to meet a 90% attendance requirement, failure to complete clinical rotations including being dismissed from a clinical site for uniform or behavior violations, failure to maintain a cumulative score of 80%, non-payment, or violation of code of conduct.
You may voluntarily withdraw from the course with a request submitted in writing or email to Emergency Medicine Academy staff.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
By registering with Emergency Medicine Academy, LLC (“EMA”), you hereby understand and acknowledge that the training, programs and events held by EMA may expose you to many inherent risks, including accidents, injury, illness, or even death.
You affirmatively assume all risk of injuries associated with participation in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training, including, but not limited to contact with other participants, rigorous training exercises, including high heat and/or humidity, and all other such risks being known and appreciated by you.
You hereby acknowledge that it is your responsibility to report and communicate any physical and psychological concerns that might conflict with participation in activity. By signing on hereto, you further acknowledge that you are physically fit and mentally capable of performing the physical activity involved in EMA EMS training, programs and events.

After having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of acceptance of your participation and EMA furnishing services to you, you agree, for yourself and anyone entitled to act on your behalf, to HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVE AND RELEASE EMA, its officers, agents, employees, organizers, representatives, and successors from any responsibility, liabilities, demands, or claims of any kind arising out of your participation in the EMA EMS training, programs and/or events.

By agreeing to the terms, you indicate that you have read and understand this Waiver of Liability. You are aware that this is a waiver and a release of liability and you voluntarily agree to its terms.
Disclosure Statement
You understand that Emergency Medicine Academy LLC. is registered with the State Board of Education in accordance with Section 33-2405, Idaho Code. You also understand that the State Board of Education has not accredited or endorsed any course of study being offered
by Emergency Medicine Academy LLC, and that these courses may not be accepted for transfer into any Idaho public post-secondary institution.
